Black History Month Celebration at Uptown Yard – Pinole, CA
Celebrate Black history and culture with highlights from Uptown Yard’s event featuring The 5the Element Drummers and local Pinole vendors.
SATURDAY MARKETEVENTS
On Saturday, February 28, Uptown Yard was filled with rhythm, culture, and community spirit during our Black History Month celebration in Pinole.
Families, friends, and neighbors gathered from 9 AM to 2 PM to enjoy live music, support local vendors, and participate in a welcoming celebration honoring Black culture and history.
The 5the Element Drummers
One of the day’s most memorable highlights was an energetic performance by The 5the Element Drummers.
Their powerful rhythms filled Uptown Yard and brought the community together. The performance created an experience that was soulful, uplifting, and impossible to stand still through.
Yero Massaba also offered a meaningful blessing honoring the ancestors. The moment established a respectful and reflective tone while celebrating the history, strength, and creativity of the Black community.
Yero is also a published children’s book author, and we were honored to recognize his creative work during the event.
Vendor Spotlight: Humbly Caffeinated
Humbly Caffeinated brought warmth and energy to the celebration by serving delicious drinks throughout the day.
Supporting businesses like Humbly Caffeinated reflects Uptown Yard’s commitment to creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and building stronger community connections.
